Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs today disambangi representative Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), as well as the Joint Food and Beverage Entrepreneur Indonesia (GAPMMI).
They came to discuss the planned increase of electricity basic tariff (TDL) as mentioned by Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said earlier this week.
Those who come are Benny Sutrisno, Franky Sibarani, and Rahmat Gobel. Besides them, there are four representatives from the ranks of the government echelon of the Ministry of Commerce and the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs.
Deputy Coordinating Minister of Industry and Trade Edy Putra Irawady before the meeting said that the arrival of businessmen to probe the impact of electricity tariff increases.
“Employers complain, because he says there are affected,” said Edy at the Coordinating Minister’s office, Friday, March 12, 2010.
For that, he continued, the presentation of the direct business is expected to give an explanation if it is true there are affected sectors due to rising electricity rates.
